The Brandon & Michelle (Nelson) Riggs family
Well, Ian was MIA...sleeping upstairs, but here's the rest of the fam. Michelle, Gavin, Brandon, and Kylee. Taken on 10/24/2008 in the evening following dinner out at the Hubbell House in historic Mantorville, Minnesota.

Like Father, Like Son
Dad Brandon and son Gavin, in their new Greece T-shirts. Brandon's is a Hard Rock Cafe shirt (in Greek)--we don't even know if there really IS a Hard Rock Cafe in Greece. Probably not. (He has one from Kuwait, too....) Are they making the Desert Mountain High School Wolves sign? I was so busy behind the camera, that I didn't notice at the time. I thought they were making Peace signs! Only Brandon and Gavin know for sure!
Greece is the word...
Kylee Nicole Riggs (3) models the Belly Dancing costume Grandpa John and Grandma Karen bought her in Turkey in September. Her Grandma Karen took 3 semesters of Belly Dancing in the mid 70s...when she was about 70 lbs. lighter (not much of a joke....). Grandma Karen's costume no longer fits, so she is a recovering Belly Dancer, but Kylee still shows promise!

Ian, Our Little Baked Bean (Ian "McBean" in Kylee speak
Villa Daiquiri - formerly owned by the Bacardi family

This is the estate we stayed in in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. It is called Villa Daiquiri, and was gated/walled, with on-site security. The steps you see lead out to the beach and ocean! If you entered the door, you'd enter a large great room with pool table. On the upstairs that you can see, there's a large covered outdoor patio. To your right of the house, is the pool area.

August 2008
While in Costa Rica as a family in August, we enjoyed an evening, our last, with Andrey, Audelis, and their little Nahomy, who were our on-site maintenance, security, and housekeeping providers. Andrey was to prepare the ocean catch from earlier that day for us.
That morning, while Brittney, Lauren, and Karen shopped in town, we found a cute little girly-girl purse in a shop to give to little Nahomy when she came over that evening. But Johnny couldn't resist modeling for us beforehand....
